Citron Crested Cockatoos for Sale

Citron Cockatoos are known for being one of the quieter Cockatoos, but they do have prominent personalities. They love to spend time with their owners and are curious and affectionate birds. They are very social, and they require a lot of interaction to maintain their emotional health.

Citron Cockatoos are 13 to 15 inches in length. They are white with pale orange patches on their face, and pale yellow feathers under their wings and tails. Their crest is very bright and striking orange. They have dark grey feet, and their beaks are dark grey, almost black color.

Citron Cockatoos are beautifully colored and have lovely personalities, which is why they are quickly becoming a famous companion bird. They are very affectionate birds and want to be by their owner’s side as much as possible. They’re very social and do require a lot of outside of the cage interaction with their owners, and their owners “flock” to maintain their emotional health. If a person plans on purchasing a Citron, they should make sure they have enough time for them. Citrons that are neglected may resort to screaming and destructive behavior, so owners must invest as much time as possible into their Citron.

Citron Cockatoos are not for inexperienced or first-time bird owners. They need an owner who has plenty of time to spend with them. On average, a Citron requires a minimum of 3 to 4 hours outside of cage playtime a day.

They live 50 years, and some even older due to modern, healthier diets, exercise, and mental stimulation. Citron Cockatoos are not a parrot for first-time bird owners, and a lot of thought and consideration should go
into the idea of getting one for a companion bird.
